BRISBANE APPLICATIONS. (3Y CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z; CABLE ASSOCIATION.) BRISBANE, September 4. A report under the Unemployment Workers' Insurance Act shows that during the year ended June 30th last, sustenance totalling £64,653 was granted to 11 474 male applicants in Brisbane and £16,823 to 1356 female applicants. The majority of th£ male applicants described themselves as labourers, and tho females as machinists .and shop assistants.
