ODDFELLOWS.
RICCARTON LODGE. The official vieit of the Xorth Canterbury District, M.U., 1.0.0. F., executive officers and lodges to the Loyal Eiccarton Lodge took place on Wednesday night. N.G. Bro. S. Hardy, on behalf of a very large attendance of members of the lodge, welcomed the visitors. Among the visitors were:—A. i\ XV. James, District Grandmaster; A. France, Deputy District Grandmaster; T.J. Archbold, district secretary; J. R. Merriman, district treasurer; Past Grand Brothers W. J. Beattie, J. J. Beagley, and G. T. Hill&don (members of tho executive); officers and Sisters of the Loyal Sister Pearce Lodge, and officers and Brethren of the following lodges:—Ashburton, City cf Christchurch, Perseverance, Benevolent, Volunteer, Phillipstown, Addington, and Kaiapoi. There were present altogether over 150 members of the Order. The lodge adjourned to entertain the visitors, and. the following contributed itemsßrothers Lawrence, Newman, Spence, Laurenson, Hulbans, and Ferguson. During the evening the District Grandmaster presented framed Past-Grand certificates to Past-G randa Brothers W. J. "Wood and T. W. Hardy, on behalf of the Riccarton Lodg*. The Grandmaster referred to tho splendid work achieved by the two Brothers while passing through the chairs of the lodge. P.G. Brothers Wood and Hardy responded.
