HEATHCOTE NEWS.

Mission Services. Mission services in the' Methodist Church were continued on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, the speakers being the Revs. G. R. Petersen and W. H. Speer. For the second service the hymns wore illustrated by lantern slides screened by Mr Morrison. Boad Repairs. The Beathcote Oounty has taken advantage of the fine days this week to fill in a few of the many pot-holes and ruts washed out by the continuous rains. There still ■ remains a considerable amount of work to be done before the roads will be in order. The roadman for the district has been assisted by two of the Oliristchurch unemployed.
