On nest a waltz and foes-trot competition will be held. Mr L M. Isitt, M.P., will preach on "The Decease of tie Bible in School Bill and ihe emptying of the Churches" at DurHam street Methodist Chuxfth to-morrow morning. Communion will be celebrated at the evening service. The Bailway Department advertises train arrangements for the trotting races at Timaru on September 12th. A special train will leave Christchurch at 7.55 a.m. and run direct to the course, returning from. Timaru in the evening. Tickets at cheap fans are being issued. A meeting of the Home Economies Association will be held in the Y.M.C.A. on Friday September 11th, at 7.30 p.m. ' The annual meeting of the New Brighton Cricket Club will be held in the Bereafard Club room on Tuesday, at 8 p.m. The usual- soldiers'- Saturday dance willbe held in the Jellicoe Hall to-night The vmual meeting of the Broadfield Shearing Shed Co., Ltd., will be held in the Broadfield Schoolroom on Saturdav.
