Parents willingly paid large fees to, have their children taught the tricks of the trade. Mous- ;; 6et. ittiparted a most systematic training, -. an,d his own home was burgled ofery week by pupils practising. The f police, suspecting • the i nature of . the school, burst jn, but found Mousset teaching a class tfith diagrams on a blackboard. Everything looked innocent, and the police were on the point of ' doparting when one of them removed the teacher's spectacles and recognised Mousset. The authorities ordered the school to be. closed.
