YACHT WRECKED.

* An auxiliary yacht, tlic vSarali Ann, owned by Mr 11. Weld. Diamond Harbour, was wrecked at Pile Bay about midday yesterday. The yacht broke from her moorings during the night and was seen drifting yesterday morning. Word was telephoned to Lyttclton, but for bomts unaccountable reuson none of the Jnunclmien was informed, otherwise it would have been an easy matter for the yacht to have been picked up and towed back to her moorings. j'inally.Mr H. A. Rhind, of llhind's Motor Launches, happened to hear that the yacht was auriit. He lett about 2 p.m. in the Kiuncli Rcotnoaua, but arm ed at Pile IJav just too late. The Sarah Ann had gone on the rocks shortly before, and was fast breaking up. It is considered she will be a total loss.
