Mr Lloyd George, at a- dinner tendered by tho Eighty and 1920 Clubs jointly, said that Mr Baldwin's cure for the increasing peril was talk and taxes. If the crisis were prolonged the Government would bo driven! to seek relief from pledges and protection, and protection would come like their night. The Liberals must be prepared for every emergency.
