LABOUR MEASURES.
RAILWAY BOARD ABOLISHED. (by cable—press association—copyright.) (australian and n.z. cable association.) SYDNEY, July 1. The State Government has decided to abolish the Railway Finance Board established by the Fuller Government on the recommendation of the recent Royal Commission on the railways, Sir Sam Fay and Sir Vincent Raven. It has also decided to take action against certain persons mentioned in the report of the Board of Trade in connexion with the alleged roofing tiles combine. ■ * The Chief Secretary, Mr Lazzarini, has been instructed to prepare a Bill for early introduction into Parliament to prohibit night baking. The Government allots £3OOO for travelling expenses and the entertainment of the visiting delegates to the Empire Press Conference.
