The third of a scries of travel talks on impressions of America will be given at the Y.M.C. V.. this evening by Mr 11. A. Kcnner.- The feubject is, "The American Peoule." Trie annual meeting of the Moyfield A. and. P. Show has been postponed until July 6th. The meeting of the Ellesmcr© Referees' iesocialion has besn jjoatnoned from Julj 2nd to Julv 9th. The monthly meeting cf the Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association trill bo hold in the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Saturday evening nest. A jumble- sale Tvill be held in the Methodist schoolroom, Selwyn street, on Saturday afternoon.
