AEOLIAN CLUB RECITAL.
« — -+-- Mr Ernest Empson, as president of the Aeolian Club, and several talented members, are enthusiastically searching through music in its more serious forms, and they will reproduco some o£ tho finest in two public recitals each year. In this way each concert should be of educational valuo as well as a pleasure to all. In the first recital, which is to be given in the Choral Hall next Monday evening, several outstanding musical compositions will be performed. Tho first concerto of the Beethoven great Eb concerto, known as the "Emperor' concerto, will be played by Miss Olive Cooper. This concerto is in classical concert fprm, and the first movement, consisting of brilliant passages, is full of warm beauty and dignity ot style. In the D minor concerto, to be played by Mr F. Page, will be heard one of Mozart's masterly compositions —perfect in style, melody, and balance. Moskowski's great charm and freshness, of melody, together with the refined brilliance and elegance of passages, are well derlaed in his E major concerto, the 2nd and 3rd movements of which will be played by Miss Hutu Henry. In order to ensure the comfort of the audience, special arrangements are being made for heating the hall. The box plan opens at Tho Bristol to-day.
