Mr D. G. Clark, Commissioner of Stamp Duties and Secretary of Lands and Deeds, who is retiring on superannuation, was entertained at a farewell gathering by officers of the Stamp Duties and Land and Deeds Department at Wellington yesterday, and presented with handsome gifts. The Hon. W. Xi>sworthy and Mr P. Verschaffelt both spoke very highly of the services rendered to the State by Mr Clark.
