WEEK-END BURGLARIES.
TWO PREMISES ENTERED. During the week-end, thieves entered the premises of two city firms, in one case making a small haul, and in the other leaving empty-handed. Two boys, aged 11 and 1-1 respectively, entered Messrs 5t..(.!.■ Atkinson and C'o.'s premises, St. Asapli street, forcing an entrance by climbing through a window. They made a meal froni some tins or food and then broachcu a quantity of qignfrctftes. A stalileman saw a "l*Lcyele propped up against a wall and waited. The boys saw him aaid made, off, but ono was caught and taken to the Polico Station. Both will appear at the Court on Saturday. . A visit was paid, by some unauthorised person, to tho premises of Messrs Packer and Jones, builders, of Churchill street on Sunday night, but was apparently surprised in his doings, as nothing was found to.be missing, and the satfe.had not been touched. Workmen who arrived yesterday morning found the door open, and jemmy marks, proving it had been forced.
