METHVEN GUN CLUB.
WEEK-END SHOOTS. The Methven Gun Club hold another of its series of shoots for the President's Cup, and also fired off two sweepstake matches. The day was very cold aad dull, nnd thore was en absence of wind, which made for good nhogtlng. Throughout tho three matches tho shooting was very consistent, as tlie scores will show. It is evident that claybird shooting has become very popular" local« ly, and each ma.ch sees an increasing number of competitors taking part. The club, has arranged to hold a monster hare drive in aid of its funds at Mr li. C. Todhunter's place. Already a large number of sportsmen from the Leeston and Southbridge districts have notified their intention of being presont.
