NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND • : LEVY BATES AND SANITATION FEES. >UBLIC NOTICE 13 hereby given, in pursuance of the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, tho Public Health Act, 1920, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, the River Boards Act, 1308, and the Rating Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, the Heathcote County Council will, at a Special Meeting to be held in the Council Office, 178 Manchester street, at 7.2J p.m. on FRIDAY, the 10th dav of July, 1925, make and lew the following RATES and SANITATION FEES:— "In pursuance of th 6 Counties Act, 1920, the Public Health Act, 1920, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, the River Boards Act, 190S, and the Rating Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, tho Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies the following Rates and Sanitation Fees:— A Generate Rate of Id in the £ en the rateable vaiue of all the rateable property in the Cashmere Riding of tho County of Heathcote A General Hate of IJd in the £ on tho rateable value of all 1 the rateable property in the .Valley Riding of the County of Heathcote. . A General Rate of ]»d in the £ on the rateable value of all the isteable property in the Hillsborough and Mount Pleasant Ridings of the County of Heathcote. A General Rate of'} id in the £on the rateable valuo of all the rateable property in the Avon and Bromley Ridings of the County of Heathcote. A uniform fee cf £1 5s per pan for Sanitation purposes in the Sanitation ireas of tho Bromley and Hillsborough Ridings and for sewer connexions in the Mount Pleasant Riding of the County of Hesthco'«\ A rate for Hospital and Charitable Aid purposes of l-4th cf a penny in the £ on thj rateable Aa'uc of p';l the rateable property in the County of Heathcote. In pursuance of the Special Order of ths Christchurch Drainage Board, da'.od tho 15th June, 3925, a Rate of 7-32nds of a penny in the on the rateable value of all the rateable property in the Rural Area in the County of Heathcote in the Christchurch Drainage. District. In pursuance of a Special Order of tho Waimakariri River Trust rates as follows on the capital value of all rateable property within that part of the Waimakariri River Trust District as is within th 6 County of Heathcote, viz.: On lands classified in Class A of the said Trust's classification, l-6th of a penny in the £. On la.nd 3 classified in Class B of the said classification,. l-7th of a penny in the £. In pursuance cf a resolution of the Chr'stchurch Drainage B:ard, a Rate of 29-64ths of a penny in the £ on the rateable value of all tin rateable .property in that portion of the Special Area, in the County of Heathcote and described in Schedule B a.nd published in the New Zea and Gazette No. 37, and dated the 36th day of April, 1923. In pursuance cf the Heathcote Road Board Waterworks- Act, 1909, the Road Boards Act, 1908, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and its amendments, and the Rating Act, 190S, a Water Rate in the Cashmere and Mount Pleasant Ridings of the County of Heathcote in respect to the ordinary ■supply within the meaning of the Heathcote County ..Supplementary Water By-laws, 1914. (a) Upon all land and buildings to which water is supplied. 1. Where the annual rateable value in thi Valuation Roll does not exceed £l2 10s, a. rate of 10s per annum. 2. Where the annual valuo exceeds £l2 10s, a rate of 1 per cent, on such valuo. in the case of the Cashmere Riding and a rate of 6 per cent, on such value in the case of the Mount Pleasant Riding, provided that in no case tie rate for ordinary supply be less than 10s per annum. (b) Upon all land and buildings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situated within 100 yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate of one-half of the rates above mentioned. The whole of the above Rates and Sanitation Fees to be for the period commencing the FIRST DAY of APRIL, 1925, rnd end. ing the 31st MARCH, 1926, and shall be payable in one sum at the Offices of the Heathcote County Council, 178 Manchester street, Christchurch, on the 20th JULY, 1925.
