A late, report from Fez docs not mention a general Riff offensive, but says that the French checked a strong rebel thrust in the Taza region, inflicting heavy losses. All official communique reports that attempted enemy infiltrations vcro thrown back. The French air force effectively bombarded the rebel positions.

Advices from Rabat confirm the opening of an enemy offensive on the Tazafez road. The French frustrated an attack delivered by 5000 disaffected tribesmen, supported by few Riill detachments. A communique reports that tho Riiris strongly reinforced, increased the pressure ou El Kebir river. The French supported by aircraft, vigorously resisted.
