AEOLIAN CLUB RECITAL.
A programme, including some of the most beautiful music of Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Arensjcy, and Walter Niemann, has been arranged by the president, 3vlr Emost Empson, for the first public recital of the Aeolian Club, to be held in the Choral Hall next Monday evening, July 6th. It is the club's intention to probe deeply into the music of the great masters, and endeavour to recreate it as nearly as possible in its public recitals. Several of the per» formers in the first recital have been favourably Tecognised in concert performances, and should in a highly representative programme of the great masters combine to present a fine standard of musicianship. Amongst these are the Misse3 Theo. Shore, Piri Thompson, Olive Cooper, May Barber, Ruth Henry, Elsie Morrah,- Mr P. Page, Miss Judith Mathias, violinist, who has recently returned after a successful period of study at the Royal Academy of Music, Bnd the Misses Violet Halliday and Mary Morrison. In order to ensure the comfort of the audience, special heating arrangements are being carried out in the hall. The box plan opens at The Bristol on Wednesday.
