CATHEDRAL BELLRINGERS.
The half-yearly meeting of the ChristcUurch Cathedral Society of Bellringers was held in the Kinging Chamber. Present: Rev. H. Jones (president), Messrs G. H. Claydon, A. G. Cusdin, C. Grant, G. Woods, and N. Sloan. Correspondence was received from Mr A. Craven, a ringer in England, who is desirous of coming to New Zealand. It was decided that the secretary write and obtain further information as to his ability. Mr E. Hollobon forwarded his resignation as master. , It was agreed that a letter, be sent thanking him for his post services.. Messrs T. Salmon, Coldmnn, and B. Heald were elected members of the Society. The following officers were elected: — Master, Mr G. H. Claydon; deputy-master, Mr T. Salmon. Arrangements are being made for the bens to be rung on the first Sunday evening in each month. - A donation of one guinea was granted to the Mayor's Coal and Blanket Fund. It wa3 left to Mr Woods to make arrangements for the Clvristmas cake for St. Saviour a Orphanage.
