GARDENS CONCERT TO-MORROW

The Woolston Band will play an unusually attractive programme in the Botanic Gardens to-morrow afternoon. Special numbers in the programme are: "The Great Littio Army" and "On the Quarter-Deck." Boih these marches were favourites during the Great War, and are being played by special request. "Scenes in llaoriland" is a suite of beautiful music, arranged by Ord Hnme, a famous band conductor and composer, who picked up.the melodies during a visit to New Zealand, from the composer in 1893, -who, by the way, was the youngest son of the last fighting Maori king of the North Island. A collection in aid of the Mayor's Coal and Blanket Fund will be taken up near the Tea Kiosk.
