CHOOSING A BISHOP.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PHE9S." Sir,— "Anglican's" letter was quite interesting; pointing out that dead . , men's hones tell a story that flifl'ees from : the Eden story. It surely should bo obvious that it is of vital importance to any Church that her bishops, besides being '"blameless," .should also be leaders in modern thought: As m 0.%). people prefer'being led, the Churches would soon be filled if it were felt that the leadcr.s were capable lenders—men that we could regard as trusty pilots. "Anglican"-omits-'to mention another .qualification, that St. Paul states to Timothy, viz., that the bishop's wife is aii important factor. But with regard to-women, St. Paul had his limitations, or maybo women have progressed more' than men since those days.— Yours, etc., PETER TUOLOYE.
