Stewart, who has resigned from the , position of Missioner, to.- occept a call to the Baptist ; Church at Cambridge. There was a large attendance of members. There were also present: The •Rev. T. M. suit of Mr Stewart's efforts much progress had been made in the work and the future of the Institute seemed bright. He trusted that' Mr Stewart'3 sphere of labour would bo a most-happy one. Mr Stewart, in reply, expressed the pleasure that had been his in his happy associations with the ministers ~of Lyttelton. They had always stood by him in his work, and if he had had any success, it was in a great measure due to the loyalty .of the ministers and. their congregations. He vould carry away with him pleasant memories of his relations; with the various churches and their ministers, and'trusted that the same brotherly spirit displayed amongst them here in Lyttel: ton-would bo his happy experience in. his new sphere of- activity.
