SPORTS SHIELD PRESENTED, At a meeting of representatives of sport* bodies (o consider the offer of the JtXftK of Kaiapoi (Mr H. Mcintosh) and the Majar of Tlargiora (Mr If. The following committee wis appointed: Cricket, Mr M. F. ODoaojhue; tenuis. Mr A. Hirst: bowlinj. Dr. M. ftmuay: i*a brigade, Mr K. Mallasch; ri3e shooting Mr W. J. Heney; golf. Mr L. B. Evans; billiards, Mr J. K. Mont; rifle shooting Mr H. C. Trustrum; football, Mr T. A. Mtrland: ladies' hockey, Mr H. lieaiunway: men's hoikev, Mr <;. Hammer: Assosiatli» football, Mr J. Hirst; Sports Club. Mr JL Grimwood. The committee will meet th» Baaf«e»» representatives at Kangiora on Jul? 4th, and discuss the rules for the ce-raretitior>.
