Queensland lias been declared by the Federal authorities to be plague-in-fected. It lias not yet been determined, however, ■whether the suspected.' case is plague. SYDNEY, Juno 25. In ricw of the suspected case of plague in Queensland, a conference- of the health . authorities . and public bodies decided immediately to enforce precautionary -mcasuro*, inuludiiig a comprehensive rat destruction campaign, to protect, the city from possible invasion by the dreaded scourge.
