USE FOR CONFERENCES. (MT CABLE—MESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) HONOLULU. June 23. Delegates from China, Japan, New Zealr.nd and Australia, to the Institute of Pacific Relations, addressing tho Pan-Pacific Club, expressed the opinion that tho meeting of the institute nest mouth woidd bo a great factor towards guaranteeing peace in tho Pacific. Mr Duncan Hall, secretary of tho New South Wales Leaguo of Nation-5 Union, said tho institute would take a great step forward if it would establish regular and frequent conferences. "There is room in tho Pacific,"' he said, "for permanent conference machinery to provide good relations among the different peoples. Wo have treaties but they do not go far enough. Peace is more tjran a, negative aversion towards war. It is a belief in a. pure and healthy international life.''
