FIRES.
(PBZSS ASSOCIATION TELEGIUM.) EI/THAM, June 23. Petrol which was bein<r poured into tho tank of a two-ton lorry at Matemateaonga, 18 miles from .Tiltham, yesterday, suddenly exploded and burst into "flames. The owner, Fred Robinson, of Eltham, who was in the cab, was burned severely the arms and face before lie could jump from the cab. The lorry immediately was enveloped in flames, and burned for hours, Robinson being unable to attempt to save the truck as there was no l water available. Mails from the back country and packages were saved, but the lorry was nractieally destroyed.
