The "Daily Chronicle" states that the betrothal of Princess Mafalda has disappointed the Italian -people, as Prince Philip ia throneless. The Prince is nearly related to the Hohenzollerns. The Italians hoped that one of their Princesses would marry into a reigning family. Prince Philip is a. Lutheran, and the Princess "is of the House' of Savoy, and is not supposed to marry a Protestan'j without a Papal dispensation. This difficulty, however, has been cleared up, and the marriage is likely to take place in' August. . The Prince and Princess will live in Rome, near the King.
