DEMONSTRATIONS IN BRITAIN.

LONDON, June 21.
Many Labour demonstration* took place throughout tho country jester day, protesting against the centum ance of unemployment. A gathering in Trafalgar Square carried banners inscribed "Justice, Not Charity," and "Work or Mainten- '
ance." Resolutions were adopted demanding the provision of socially useful work, and meanwhile an allowance- of Ski weekly for adult males, 10s for a< wife, and os for each child. (Received Juno 22nd, 7.3 pan.) The unemployment demonstration in Trafalgar Square was addressed by Labour members of tho House of Cbfl&mons and others.. The prcceedrasi were most orderly.
Tho speakers compared the display of wealth at Ascot with the porerty of the unemployed, and denounced tie Government's policy regarding Qua*. A resolution was carried caffing on tho Government to establish, a National Employment Deidupmant Board.
There were demonstrations in Glasgow, Hull, and elsewhere.
