Painlove tokl the committee of the Chamber of Deputies that various Moslem nations were giving Alxl-el-Krim considerable help in tho shape of funds. Abd-el-Krim received a ransom from Spanish prisoners with which ho financed an extensive purchase of arms. Franco was arranging to cut off sen and land comnnunicatioES and to launch an offensive 011 a largo ooale. Abd-el-Krim's speedy surrender is anticipated.

At the Government's request the Chamber of Deputies by 525 votes to 32 postponed sine die the Communists' demand* to interpellate the Government ou the situation iu Morocco. Tho Socialists voted with the Government, having agreed to interpellate the Government on Morocco next week. The Communists, seeking to force an issue between the Socialists and the Government, gave notice of a proposal to interpellate the Government to-day. They quoted a London telegram saying that Abi-cl-Kiim had made peace overtures to France awcl Spain through England svnd Itf-ly. M. BriAhd (Foreign Minister), when demanding the postponement of the interpellation sice die, declared that it was an insult to suppose that if ail honourable bpportunity for peace tad offered the Government would not have listened to it or would lifcvd allotted further bloodshed in Morocco.
A vote was taken amid Communigt cries of, "Murderers. Liars. Down with war."
After a meeting of Cabinet tha Prime Minister (M. Painlevo) etated that the Government discussed Communist propaganda and decided x>n a policy to* wards the militant section of the Communist party, which 'was daily corresponding with Abd-el-Krim And (encouraging him to resist, assuring him that the inajptity of the French people were opposed to the continuance of military operations.
"Le Matin" announces that 120 arrests have been made in Paris and the provinces in pursuance of the measures for the suppression of Communist propaganda in regard to Morocco. M. Painlevp will shortly bring up the question in the Chamber of raising the Parliamentary immunity in respect to Ccmmuuiitt leaders, who are deputies to enable prosecution.
