Cablegram—Just to hand of**^ bos* su -it speaks for itself! The above message indicates that "Talbots" are maintaining their unbroken list of successes in all the big British-Franco motoring events. In March of this year the Grand Prix de Provence and Hartford Cup race, at Miramas Autodrome, resulted in another triumph for the wonderful 11 h.p. Talbot cars. The Hartford Cup was won by Segrave and the Talbot team were first, second and fourth in the general classification against cars of all categories from 1100 c.c. up to four litres. In the 1500 c.c. category the Talbots had an absolute walk-over, Segrave, Conelli and Duller being first, second and third respectively. All the conquering."Talbots" were shod with "Englebert Chevron Cords"—an extraordinary testimony to the endurance of these famous Belgian tyres. TENCH BROS. LTD. Perhaps You Know Him Mr. Basil Potton of 88 Balcna Bay, via Oriental Bay, Wellington, has this to say of Vicks: "I am very pleased to tell you that we have found Vicks Vapoßub very good indeed, especially for sore throat. After trying it once we liked it so well that we have kept it in the house ever since. We also like it for colds and for bruises and cuts.". Rub Throat and Chest With Vicks "Vapoßub, while new here, is a family remedy of long-standing popularity overseas. In Canada and the United States over 17 million pots are used yearly for sore throat, colds in the head and on the chest, bronchitis, catarrh and children's colds. The adjoining testimonial—one among himdreds—is evidence that New Zealanders, too, promptly, recognize the advantage of treating colds externally. Prompt Relief for All Kinds of Cold Troubles Here is a simple yet effective method of treating sore throat. Gargle with warm salt water three times daily. Also swallow slowly every few hours a quarter teaspoonful of Vicks Vapoßub. At night apply Vicks over the throat and upper chest, rubbing well in. Then spread on thickly and cover with a .warm flannel. The body heat releases the ingredients of Vicks—Menthol, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Thyme, Turpentine, etc. —in the form of vapours, and these vapours, inhaled all night long, go direct to the affected parts. At the same time Vicks is absorbed through and stimulates the skin like a liniment or plaster, taking out the tightness, soreness and pain. For severe colds on the chest, redden the skin over the throat and chest with hot wet towels, to open the pores, before applying Vicks. For head colds and catarrhal troubles, you simply melt a little Vicks in a spoon or tin cup and inhale the vapours. ViCks is especially good for children's colds, because it avoids so much "dosing." For Minor Ailments, Too Vjcks is helpful wherever - there is inflammation or congestion. For burns and scalds, apply as a thick dressingcovering with a light cloth. Apply gcntlv—do not rub in. For cuts, scratches, bites, cleanse with warm water, then apply Vicks as an ointment. For headache and neuralgic, rub the forehead and temples with Vieks and melt a little in a spoon and inhale the vapours. For All Cold Troubles 2/6THEPOT EVERYWHERE
