, WOODVILLE LINKED UP. (FBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WOODVILI/E, June IS. Tho official switching-on ceremony in connexion with power from the Mangaiiao scheme was carried out in perfect! weather. There was a large attendance, and speeches were made by Meesra E. A. Rsmsom, M.P. (chairman of the Board), H. P. Homo (Mayor of Wroodville), M. O. Grainger (chainnanvoff tife Woodville County Council), and others. At the official afternoon tea a number or toasts were honoured. A new era in tho history of the district was ushered in at 6 o'clock, when the Major switched on tho light, flooding tho town with brilliant coloured lights the "lamination scheme being splendid. Tho Mayor was presented with an "»scribed switch as a memento. The band plaint in the evening, and the town was illuminated. . :
