LINWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH.
The Linwood Baptist Church Anniversary took place on .Sunday, when the Rev. A. W. Stuart conducted both services, and contributed special music. On Tuesday tea was dispensed, followed by a public meeting. The Rev. A. W. Stuart, in his opening remarks, expressed appreciation of the harmony in the church life that had made possible the progress of the past year The annual report of the secretary, Mr C. F. Jones, showed three forward attempts U) e, nina davs* mission ,by the Rov. i. h. Harry, with a general influence; of steady uplift ' (2) the formation of a the acceptance of the leadership by Mr V. Moir and the consequent benefit to tie services; (3) the Attack on the church debt of £235. The,amount in bank and promised is now £l7O, leaving £65 to be raised by September next His report showed an appreciable increase in congregations, and all *¥"£«£« husv The statement of the treasurer, Mr j Russell, showed an income of £327 13s 6d* with a small deficit (since removed). The choir gave theianthems "Consider the t siw" and "As Pants the Hart." Solos ™«sun* by Mrf h. Boiler, Miss Gray Z™m HaSngton, and ,Miss D. Gluetein recited "The Shoemaker Musionary." Greetings were given by Pastor Jones of Greendale and an address by the Rev. J. J. North An expression of thanks by the chairman to all who have helped in the yearns work brought to a close a most successful evening.
