Jn spile of tho cold weather and muddy roads, there was an exceptionally good attcrdar.ee at a. meeting of the ,North Beach Gala, and Foreshore Improvement Society, held in tho Surf Pavilion. The contractor fur the building having- given an assurance - that the building would be ready for occupation in four weeks' time, it was decided *o hold-the official • opening on July 18th. The arrangements agreed on were that the Coronation Ceremony should take pla.ee first, to be followed by a concert and d3nce. The Tvork of the school was considerably ■upset recently through some children having tampered with the locks of some of the doors when school was closed for the night. The senior scholars had to spend a day working under adverse conditions in the shelter eked.
