The Germans have had enough of jazz dance music, and the classic waltzes of the Strauss school are again becoming popular. Strauss waltzes have a place in all broadcast programmes, and the Berlin Philharmonic Society is giving entire programmes devoted to the waltz. _ The Strauss family—Johann and his three sons, Johann, Joseph, and Etfuard—composed between them something like 1500 waltzes and other dances, and stereo-, typed the waltz form.
