RANGIORA HIGH SCHOOL BOARD.
The annual meeting of the Bangiora High School Board of Governors was held on Wednesday night, Mr E. Ball presiding. It was decided to apply to tho different local bodies for their annual donations towards tho support of the Agricultural School. Tho Principal reported tliat the roll number was 153. \ The chairman, in his annual report, said that it was satisfactory to know that the past year'had been marked by several forward movements. The Education Department had lately been more sympathetic, and apparently had seen that the school was doing admirable work. In this connexion the Department had authorised plans for additional accommodation. In hia report, the Principal stated that ho had classified the scholars in tho different subjects taken. The chief feature of the classification was the growing popularity of the home science ' course. With respect to the agricultural course, the indications were that there was no demand for vocational agricultural training. The experiment of inchiding a rural economics course instead of the agricultural course was suggested. The election of officers resulted as follows: Chairman, Mr C. I. Jennings; financo committee, Messrs J. Marshall, It. Mcintosh, R. D. Hutcheson; hostel and work committee. Mossib C. W. Bell, R. Ball, J. Marshall, and U- D. Hutcheson; agricultural committee, Messrs W. A. Banks, R. Mcintosh, W. Stalker, and J. Stevenson. Mr C. I. Jennings thanked the Board l for electing him chairman, and also moved a vote of thanks to the retiring chairman, Mr R. Ball, which was carried.
