WELLINGTON WINTER SHOW.
MOTORISTS DISPLEASED. (SrECIAL TO "the peess.") WELLINGTON, Juno 16. Wellington motor dealers have fallen out with the promoters of the Wellington Winter Show. It was stated that on this occasion they had beon asked to pay three times more for space than before, and had been refused authority to make a shilling charge for admission to their particular part of the show.
Ono momber of the committee said it'was really a boycott of the show by the motorists; The charges made to the Motor Association were the same as those for any other exhibition, said Mr Mitchell, but the Association would have received a very considerable discount, so they would have been on a better' footing than anyone else, but they could not allow the Association to have a separate door and to make a separate charge for admission, for they had viewed it as getting money from tho public in an unjustified manner. It was making a double charge for entrance. There was only some 4000 or 5000 square foet of spaco left now, and they would not get in any motor exhibits without crowding out some late applicants for side-shows, etc. ,The Association would liavo taken a whole shed, if permitted. It was decided to endeavour to obtain motor entries from outside firms.
