CHRISTCHURCH< ASSOCIATION. A general meeting of tho executive o£ the Christchurch Miniaturo Riflo Association was held last evening. P. Jack (Railway) (chairman), P. Robertson (Working Men's Club), J. Craig (Sydenham)} Hi Gracio ("Lyttelton Times")/ F. Lightfoot (New Brighton), R. H. Neill (Caehmere), E: Copplestono (Buffaloes), S. Stephens (W. H. -Harris, Ltd.), T. Davie (Kaiapoi Woollen), J. Buschl (Now Brighton Ladies), H." Flock (Returned Soldiers). . "A sub-committee was sot up to draft a sew set of rules to govern, the winter tournament. Two members from tho Cashmere Club wero reinstated to tho Junior Grade. _ The question of a protest against a Railway target in the match" y. Harris, Ltd., was discussed at length. It was decided that the decision of the target judges be upheld, fhe Railway Club's competitor in question losing.his highest shot of fiyo points. A motiqn that all reinstated men in the various grades bo allowed to shoot for the respective aggregate cups was carried. The championship programme was arranged as-follows:—The individual championship, of £2B, entrance, fee ss; champion .-.. teams match of three-'prizes, valuo £l7 10s, .entrance fee 10b; champion, aggregate £4, £3, and £2, entrance fee 2s Gd._ -, . The Rev., Charles;* Nelson, pastor 'of Gvace Chapel, of the United Christian Church of America, who -has been eon v see'rated Bishop'of Long Island,. was a boxer until seven years ago, when he was ordained a preacher. Ho gave up pugilism and took up carpentry. Before his installation as bishop, he fell from a scaffolding, and the earpcritcrpastor was taken to the church on a stretcher for the consecration service. '
