The annual report of the Now Zealand Section of tho Boy Scouts' Association contains the following reference to his Excellency, the Dominion Chief Scout:—
His Excellency Sir Charles Fergusson, having consented to accept the appointment ef Dominion Chief Scout, took up his duties last November. As his Ex. cellency was a County Commissioner in Scotland, ho camo to tho Dominion with first-hand knowledge of scouting. The Dominion Executive Committee are very pleased to report that his Excellency's advice and support is already proving of groat value, and we look forward to still greater expansion m the movement ,under his direction. It is sincerely trusted that Boy Scouts, Wolf CUbs, Eovers, Scoutcrs, and all others working in the movement will put forth their best efforts to place it upon such a Idvcl that his Excellency Will be proud of his connexion with the' New Zealand section in his capacity of Dominion Chiof Scout.
