FIGURES FOR FOUR MONTHS.

WELLINGTON, June 15.

An interesting return, made available to-day by Sir James Parr, Post-master-General, shows that in the first four months of the prosent year, the deposits in tho Post Office .Savings Bank totalled £10,179,544, and . the withdrawals £9,648,341. Auckland's deposits wero £1,771,150 and her withdrawals £1,776,643, an excess of withdrawals totalling £5493. The Wellington 'deposits reached £2,371,016, which was £177,241 above tho withdrawals. The Christchurch deposits were £1,592,068, which is 63,763 more than the withdrawals. Dunedin deposited £801,316 with the bank and took out £787,521; The total excess of deposits over withdrawals is £531,203.
