e WAIMAKARIRI-ASHLEY. At the monthly meeting of the "Wai-niakariri-Ashley Water Supply Board, there were present—Messrs James Brown (chairman), n. Lucas, G. Wayland, and Wal'er. An apology was received frcm Mr F. Sheat. The secretary leportcd on work done during the month. Three flumes in ths Fernside district would hn\e to be renewed. It was decided that railway metal and earthenware mpes bo procured and the flumes be renewed as soon as pcssible. The Eyre« County Council wrote askin<r that the course of a raco on Norman's reed be altered, and the race covered with semicircular pipes. It was decid2d to do the work at once. The ranger reported thut a bridge oyer '.he race in Harewood road was dan-rtrbus for heavy traffic. It was agreed to construct a nevi- br;dge. The secretary was instructed to get plans and specifications of proposed protective work to be dene at the headworks, in otder to make application for a Government loan. In accordance with notice, the chairman moved that the day of the monthly meeting be changed to Monday. Tho motion was seconded by Mr Luers and carried.
