FARM SCHOOLS.
The first of the Canterbury Farm Schools arranged by the Department of Agriculture will be opened in the Oxford Town.Hall'on"Monday next, and conclude on Tuesday evening. Lectures and demonstrations will be given by officers of the Department and others. In addition to members of the local office Messrs A. H. Gockavne, Direc- *°. r » f *'» Fields Division. J. G. Cook, Wool Expert, and K. Gorringe, Instructor in -.Pig Keeping, - will be present from Wellington. On Tuesday afternoon and evening a special.short course of three lectures will be g!ven in tho A. and' P. Association s Hall at Kirwee. Tho lectures, which will include the subjects: Pastures, Crop Growing and Wool, will he illustrated with lant?rn slides, and will be of interest to agriculturists and sheep-breeders. All farmers arc invited to attend these lectures.
