DECORATIONS ANNULLED. (noM OTO OWN CORRESPONDENT.) j LONDON, May 8. The following announcement has been issued from Buckingham Palace: The Warrants of Appointment as.PhotoI graplier to the King, the Queen, and j the Prince of Wales issued'to Mr Ernest Brooks have been cancelled. The following further notices appeared in "the London "Gazette":— "St. James's Pfllace,.S.W.l., May, sth, 1925.—The King lias directed that the Award of the Medal of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire to Ernest: Brooks, which was gazetted on June 3rd,,'1918, shall be cancelled and annulled, and his name erased from the Eegister." "The King has directed that the appointment of Ernest; Brooks to be. an officer ,of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire/dated January Ist, 1920, shall bo cancelled and annulled, and his name erased from the Eegister." Mr Brooks, who accompanied the King and Queen to India for the Coronation Durbar, and later the Duke and Duchess of Conhaught on their South African tour, was in New Zealand with the Prince of Wales. . Ho was the first of the official photographers appointed to the Forces by the' War Office and the Admiralty; during the late tvar, when he .held a commission and the rank of lieutenant.
