OPAWA METHODIST CHURCH.

At the nineteenth, anniversary services in connexion with the Upawa Metn-dist uhurcU the Kev. S. JLawry pieached to. a.good congregation <ind the choir eang the anthem, •'Lord God Omnipotent Reigneth." In thj aiternoon the church was crowded to thj doors, when the pulpit was occupied by tha Mayor (Kev. J. j£. Archer). ine Durham street choir gave a first-clasa musical programme. In the evening the Rev. W. ±l. bpeer preached to a. large congregation. Mrs u. V., aalkeid eang "My Task" and "lies Rainea'ux.". The choir sang the anthems, Sweet is tbe Sunlight" (soloist, wja P. ley), "Far from my Heavenly Home,' "uur Blest Redeemer" (Bjloist, Mis Dougias). On Wednesday evening the anniversary was continued, when « large garnering sat down w an old-time tea meeting. This was followed bv a public meeting in the church, when tne report and balance-sheet were presented by Mr P. Ingiey (secretary to the Trust), which showed the church to be in a healthy condition. The Rev. Argyll Saxby delivered a very inspiring addiess. Miss Lomas eang "The. Mission of the Boee,'" and "When You Are There," and the choir contributed "Saviour Thy Children Keep."
