EARTHQUAKE IN YUNNAN.

The Australian Council of the China Inland Mission luis received word from Ta-li-fu. a town of 24,000 inhabitants in the province of Yunnan, of a devastating earthquake, which completely \vrecke/L the town. Thirteen hundred were killed and a large number rendered homeless. Fire broke out in many quarters and many buildings were destroyed. The foreign community suffered no personal injury, and foreigners are returning to Yunnan-fu.
