POULTRY SHOW.

CHRISTCHURCH SOCIETY. RECORD ENTRIES BENCHED. A record show for the Dominion was opened in King Edward Barracks yesterday, when the judging started end continued throughout tho day. The total number of cL'tries is 2633—a record for the Dominion. There arj exhibitors from all parts of Xew Zealand, and the authorities state that the quality cf tho exhibits is well up to standard, and, indeed, in some classes surpasses anything that has baen seen in former years. In the poultry classes the bunteni3 are an especially fine lot, while the utility classes sh<-w heavy entries. The pigeon, canary, and cage bhd classes also have large entries. The toy degs will be judged this morning, and the- cats on Saturday. The show is under the auapices of the Christchurch Pcultiy, Pigeon, Canary, and Cat Club, with Mr R. Pearce as secretary.
