Acceptances for the Banks Peninsula Racing Club's "Winter Meeting are due on Tuesday. "Work at Riccarton yesterday was confined to'bursts over short courses on tho No. 1 grass. Several horses engaged at the approaching meeting were seen out, but nothing above- average work was accomplished. Tiff and Goldstep. are beginning to assume racing shape, and were sprinted three furlongs in company yesterday. Both moved freely and should be:on hand for early spring engagements.

Grim Joke, with J. Tilson up, was schooled over three brush fences at Riccarton yesterday, giving a fair display.

The plough track at Riccarton has been broken up, and will be out of commission for some time.
