■ Arriving in New Zealand shortly is a Tchaikovsky' orchestral gramophone record of peculiar i&tercSt—the fantasia "franceaca da Bimini" (on two H.M.V. ,4i«oa). This remarkable piece of tone' painting was heard at the lieeds Musical Festival under the direction of Albert Coatea, and now we have him conducting a Symphony Orchestra, fcr a> gramophone version.
