MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The committee of the Banks Peninsula A. and P.. Association met last week. Present: Messrs A. V. Hutchinson (president), E. Coop, J. V. Chapman, "W. Lewthwaite. W. A. 0. Fairweather, J. White, H. L. Lewthwaite. •' ■The president moved, and it was carried', that messages o£ condolence be sent to Mrs' W. ,IY Massey, also to the relatives of the late Messrs A. Goodwin and J±'. Karetai, late members of the Association. The president' reported that Mr x Mont> gomery had represented the Association at a meeting of the. Boyal Agricultural Society in "Wellington. With regard to the formation of the South Island Federation, something definite would be known shortly. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £l4 16s 4d, with outstanding subscriptions totalling £169. The Friesian Association wrote regarding the payment of prize money. It was resolved that the. matter be looked into. The Epyal Agricultural Society advised that the membership fee which was now due was on the basis of 1 per. cent, of the annual memberships received. Mr .Robert Studhplme wrote resigning his membership. It was resolved to accept the resignation with regret. It was agreed to call applications for the position of secretary. The president reported that Mr A. C. 'Greenwood would give a cup, for, the district class in fat sheep. The president said he. understood that Miss Rutherford would also be giving a trophy.
