PARK ROADS.
ALLOCATING COST OF MAINTENANCE. Delegates from local bodies met last nighs to consider steps to settle 'the allocation of maintenance of park ronds and a proposal to take a tally of Unfile on these roads. The following delegates attended: Messrs J. Seymour, T. C. Newnham, C. E. Cross, and G. S. Cowper (Wainiairi County Council), Messrs C. P. Agar, A. D. Ford and J. S. Neville (City Council), Messrs G. The chairman said that it would be expensive to take the tally, and the worn would bo a long one. It was decided, on Mr Agar's motion, to confirm, allocations made at a conference on July 7th, 1924, in respect to Leans avenue, Mcoihouse avenue, Kicoartou avenuo, and A'orth Park load, on the understanding that lie account between the Waimairi County and the Kiccartou borough was settled, and that the allocations should operate from July 7th, ia34 t the Commissicner to be advised to that effect, and to be asked to make his award on that basis. The allocatiojs agreed to in 1921 are: Deans avenue and Moorhouse avenue —Kiccarton 65 per cent., City 25 per cent., Waimairi 10 per cent. . Riocatton avenue —City 55 per cent., Waimairi 6 per cent., Kkcarton 21 per cent., Paparua 18 per.cent. North Park road—City. 55 per cent., Wainrairi 21 per cent., .Riccartou .17 per cent., Papania 7 per cent. An. allocation of the expense of lighting Deans avenue and Moorhouse avenue on the same basis as the maintenance tos approved.
