ARRANGEMENTS FOR JUBILEE
MEETING AT RICHMOND SCHOOL,
A meeting of old pupils of the Eichmond School was held in the seho6l- - last evening, to make arrangements in connexion with the coming jubilee celebrations. Mr J. A. Flesher presided over a small attendance. It was reported that about forty_old pupils of the school had already "Been circularised. The meeting decided to adopt similar arrangements to those carried out in connexion with the "West Christcbnrch School, celebrations. It was decided to leave the arrangements for the concert in the hands of the school staff. A committee was set up to deal with the past and present pupils' ball. Tile date for the opening of the new school was fixed for Saturday, September 28th, and the conversazione for the evening previous. Arrangements were made for entertaining the school children after, the sports gathering. Conveners for the various committees were elected. It was agreed that Mr Talbot bo requested to compile a., history of the school. . The chairman stated that the committee were anxious to get in touch with all old scholars, and would be pleased if all old pupils would send in their names and addresses.
