Scotland Yard regards the discovery of the" forgers' pliant in Earl's Court road as the most important-find of irecent years. There were all the latest deviceg, some of which were unfamiliar to the police, including a huge camera, four feet square, euapendea from the ceiling, four etching machines, two presses, a.huge quantity of sensitised paper, and 200 packets of photographic plates. . The detained man posed m n Press photographer. He claimed that the apparatus was used professionally. The forged notes are perfect, and detection haa been extremely difficult. Thoy have been circulating in all parts of the country for twelve months. [Following upon the detention of a man, the police last week raided & house in Earl'B Court road, which was believed to be the headquarters of a highly-organised gang of Treasury noteforgers and found an extensive plant.]
