The gamo was again strong and almost in every case eluded the pursuer. The winner of the Boyle Memorial Stakes was bred by V. Jackson, of Underwood, and was purchased by Price and Mitchell prior to the meeting. The runner-up, Luperite, comes from Southland, and is owned by Dowling Bros.
